Abraham Lincoln
1809 – 1865?????
Abraham Lincoln is best known as the 16th [and the first Republican] President of the USA serving initially from1860, re-elected in 1864 until his assasination famously by John Wilkes Booth at Ford’s Theatre in Washington. He achieved great heights as a self-taught lawyer, as an investor and even hels a patent for lifting boats!
While his business endeavours were not as central to his legacy as his presidency, Lincoln’s early career and ventures reflected his resourcefulness, intellect, and the self-discipline that would later guide his political leadership.
